… New York City has gotten monsoon style rains!
It won’t last forever and we know that all this rain will bring the colorfulness of spring!

This past weekend in New York City it felt like spring… the sun was shining, people were out and I was super motivated! My friend Stephanie was in town visiting and we took full advantage of the weather! Walking along the Brooklyn Promenade over the Brooklyn Bridge to Manhattan (picking up our friend Lindsey) and walking back to Brooklyn…. ALL with dog in tow!

Spring is HERE (finally)! I hope to do alot of walking around in the sunshine and picture-taking this weekend
This is an older photo taken last year when I went to visit a friend in DC…. Cherry Blossoms were in full bloom and so were my allergies… but none the less still pretty!
Happy Friday!

If anyone has been following the news … they know that the NYC area was rain soaked these past few days. Thankfully I was gone most of the weekend…
From what I heard there was flooding, wind and power outages… and judging from the clouds overhead on my train ride back to NYC it was a very intense weekend…
I also took an evening trip out to New Jersey to see a friend in from out of town…
The wind was non-existant when I got there but the evidence of a wind-swept weekend was obvious…

Here is the finale of the from the air photos – Vail to New York City…
I apologize for the ridiculously dirty window… ick.
Happy Friday!

Prior to leaving for vacation.. I came across a flickr member’s site with an incredible collection of aerial photos taken from the seat of a commercial plane… obviously I’ve taken photos from the window’s of planes before but this time I took ALOT. So there will be two rounds… this first set is from the flight from New York City to Vail…

So being back at work after a vacation is possibly the worst thing ever… Especially when you were so active on the vacation that you didn’t really “vacation” so to speak. With that… my VAILcation was great… amazing snowboarding, quality snow, bluebird skies and amazing company!
Here’s a few shots of the surroundings…
Sigh… back to work.

…well Ive arrived in Vail… and enjoying a bit of snowboarding and relaxation. With that there won’t be any other posts the rest of the week. But you can expect some Vail snow photos next week…:)
For now here are some photos taken from the vantage points of planes …
