As I mentioned I travelled to Indiana this past weekend… here is assortment of random photos from the trip…

There are some things you don’t often see (or rather notice) in NYC. Maybe because you’re distracted by everything else around you. But this past weekend I travelled to Indiana and saw this oil rainbow in a parking lot…
…how can something which defines pollution be so beautiful?

There are a few free things you can do in New York City… most of them aren’t that cool.
Taking the Ikea Shuttle for free though is definitely one of the more enjoyable NYC free options!…

This past weekend… after nearly 4 years of living in New York City… and nearly 10 years living in New York State… I FINALLY went wine tasting.
The weather didn’t cooperate completely but who cares when wine is involved!

Yesterday I was driving down the westside highway and, once again, was stunned at the lack of progress made on the WTC site in the nearly 9 years since 9/11…
For a city that prides itself on being the “City that never sleeps”… you would hope they would spend some of that time not sleeping on getting this memorial up!
A little more information on the progress of the WTC site…

I love sunshine!
Colors of the season….
And because its Wednesday… a little random New York City-ness….
Notes from the New York Underground
The subway doors open. A hobo enters, holding a bottle of windex in one hand and a tube of toothpaste in the other.
Hobo: Which is the better time to read Dostyevsky? Winter?
He sprays the windex.
Hobo: Or Spring?
He squeezes toothpaste out of the tube.
Japanese girl: Spring!
Hobo: You are correct.

Like most people I talk to …. I am eager for warmth to return to New York City!
Of course in east coast style I’m sure I will be complaining about the heat eventually too…
An evening walk by the Brooklyn Museum… *so glad it’s not raining!*
